Under normal conditions, it is resistant to acids, alkalis, and chemical corrosion. Moisture absorption is less than 4%. It has low oil absorption, low electrical conductivity, and good insulation properties. Wollastonite is a typical metamorphic mineral, mainly found in the contact zones between acidic rocks and limestone, associated with vesuvianite and garnet. It is also found in deeply metamorphosed calcareous crystalline schists, volcanic ejecta, and some alkaline rocks.
