Main uses: It is used in the production of latex film products, pigments, rayon, catalytic desulfurizers, and analytical reagents; in medicine, it is used as a mild astringent, antiseptic, talcum powder, disinfectant, and skin protectant; it is also used as a feed additive and in the pharmaceutical industry. Due to its transparency being close to that of natural rubber, it is used as a reinforcing agent and vulcanization accelerator in transparent rubber products.
