  • Product Introduction

Zinc oxide, also known as zinc white or Chinese white, is an oxide of zinc. It appears as a white powder or hexagonal crystal. It is odorless, tasteless, and non-gritty. It turns yellow when heated and reverts to white upon cooling. Its density is 5.606 g/cm³, and its melting point is 1975°C. It sublimes when heated to 1800°C. Its hiding power is half that of titanium dioxide and zinc sulfide, while its tinting strength is twice that of basic lead carbonate. It is an amphoteric oxide, soluble in acids, alkalis, and ammonia water, but insoluble in water and alcohol. It readily absorbs carbon dioxide from the air to form zinc carbonate. It can be reduced to metallic zinc by carbon or carbon monoxide. Main uses: It is used as a pigment in paints and as a filler in rubber; in medicine, it is used to prepare ointments, zinc paste, and adhesive plasters for treating skin wounds, providing hemostatic and astringent effects; it is also used as a nutritional supplement (zinc fortifier) and as a food and feed additive.

It can be used in the cosmetics industry, as well as as a raw material for automotive paints, furniture and building materials, inks, and oil paints. It can also serve as an anti-aging agent for rubber and plastics; be used in thermometers; and be applied in the semiconductor field for liquid crystal displays, thin-film transistors, light-emitting diodes, and more. The company has an annual output of 7,000 tons.
