Special Electrolytic Manganese Dioxide

Electrolytic manganese dioxide is an excellent depolarizer for batteries. Compared with dry batteries made from natural discharge manganese dioxide, it offers advantages such as larger discharge capacity, higher activity, smaller size, and longer lifespan. Dry batteries made with 20-30% EMD have a discharge capacity 50-100% higher than those made entirely with natural MnO2. In high-performance zinc chloride batteries, incorporating 50-70% EMD can increase the discharge capacity by 2-3 times. Alkaline manganese batteries made entirely with EMD can achieve a discharge capacity 5-7 times higher. Therefore, electrolytic manganese dioxide has become a very important raw material in the battery industry.
