Product Performance:

Boron powder appears as a black solid powder, with a melting point of2400°C, boiling point approximately 2700°C. Specific gravity ≥1.3 (amorphous boron has a specific gravity of 1.3, while crystalline boron has a specific gravity of 2.4), Mohs hardness 9. At high temperatures, it can react with most metals to form borides.

Application direction:

1. Boron can be used as a shielding material in the atomic energy industry, made into boron steel for nuclear reactors, as a neutron absorber and neutron counter in reactors, and as the ignition electrode in ignition tubes.

2. Catalysts for the ceramic industry and organic synthesis, high-energy fuel for rocket propellants.

3. It is used in the synthesis of various high-purity boron-containing compounds and serves as an important raw material for producing high-purity boron halides. Boron is also a raw material for manufacturing boron fibers.

4. Boron is used in the smelting of special alloy steels, in the fireworks industry, and as a gas scavenger in molten copper.

5. In the fields of semiconductors and electrical engineering: After carbonization treatment at around 2300°C, it is used as the cathode material for the ignition core in ignition tubes. It can also serve as a raw material for preparing high-quality cathode material lanthanum boride.
