KJG-240 Double Paddle Blade Dryer for 600 Tons of Sludge Per Day

A sludge resource recycling project with a daily processing capacity of 600 tons officially began operations in February 2015 in the Shunyi District of Beijing. Over the past three months, it has processed more than 40,000 tons of sludge. The treated sludge is odorless, harmless, and stabilized, making it suitable for resource recycling.

The sludge from the treatment site is mixed by a forklift and then fed into the fermentation tank. The temperature in the fermentation tank quickly rises, with the thermometer inside showing 80–100°C. After undergoing UTM ultra-high-temperature fermentation treatment, the sludge is fully composted, ultimately turning into soft, light brown loamy soil. This material can be widely used in landscaping, soil remediation, and improvement.

This technology is regarded as a "disruptive innovation to traditional aerobic fermentation processes," making it possible to render sludge completely harmless and then utilize it for land application. Additionally, the technology features low investment and processing costs, and can be widely applied to the harmless treatment of organic solid wastes such as industrial sludge, waste residue, household waste, kitchen waste, livestock and poultry manure, animal carcasses, and fallen leaves. Practical projects have been implemented in sludge treatment and livestock pollutant treatment initiatives across Beijing, Fujian, Jiangsu, Henan, and other regions.

Biotechnological fermentation also employs high-temperature sterilization and sealed processing, which prevents the generation of odors and secondary pollution during the process. This completely transforms chicken manure, an environmentally harmful waste, into organic fertilizer for crop cultivation, truly achieving the integration of ecological, social, and economic benefits.

In this technology, there are numerous technical parameters and many technical challenges that need to be overcome. For example, the equipment must use a full set of integrated insulation materials, including the main unit's surroundings and thermal oil pipes. The main equipment's insulation requires the use of aluminum silicate, and the insulation speed must be sufficient. The materials used must be compatible with anti-rust treatment that lasts for more than five years. Noise sources must be soundproofed to avoid noise pollution and meet national environmental noise standards. The design of the mixing blades must ensure thorough mixing of the materials, among other requirements.
