KJG-5 Oily Sludge Dryer

Oily sludge: oil content by mass fraction is 15.0%-20.0%, water content by mass fraction is 75.0%-82.0%.

The centrifugally dewatered oily sludge is fed into the drying heater (KJG-5) and dried at 140°C for 60 minutes. The steam generated during the drying process enters the condenser, where it is condensed at 32°C. The resulting wastewater flows into an oil-water separator. After separation, the wastewater is sent to the biochemical treatment unit, while the separated oil can be recycled for refining or used directly as fuel. The exhaust gas generated during the process is handled by the tail gas treatment system.

The effect of drying temperature on drying time

Experiments show that when the drying temperature increases from 110°C to 150°C, the moisture content of oily sludge decreases from 79.2% to 20.0%. As the drying temperature of oily sludge rises, the drying rate significantly accelerates; at around 140°C, the drying rate reaches an inflection point; further increasing the temperature causes the drying rate to decline instead. Therefore, it can be preliminarily determined that the optimal drying temperature for oily sludge is approximately 140°C.
