An iron alloy primarily composed of chromium and iron. It is one of the main alloying agents used in the steel industry. In addition to the primary components of chromium and iron, it also contains impurities such as carbon, silicon, sulfur, and phosphorus. Ferrochrome contains chromium.55%～75%, classified into high-carbon based on carbon content(4%～10%C), medium carbon(0.5%～4%C)Low-carbon(>0.15%～0.5%C)and micro-carbon(≤0.15%C)Ferrochrome.

Usage:

（1In the metallurgical industry, it is primarily used to produce ferrochrome alloys and metallic chromium. Ferrochrome alloy is used as an additive in steel production to manufacture various types of special steels with high strength, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, high-temperature resistance, and oxidation resistance, such as stainless steel, acid-resistant steel, heat-resistant steel, ball bearing steel, spring steel, and tool steel.

（2) In refractory materials, it is used to manufacture chrome bricks, chrome-magnesia bricks, and other special refractory materials.

（3In the chemical industry, it is primarily used in pigments, textiles, electroplating, leather manufacturing, and other industries. It can also be used to produce catalysts and catalytic agents.
