Pühler® Grinding Media - Zirconia Beads, Zirconium Silicate Beads, Ceramic Microbeads

PUHLER® PZY-95 Quasi-Zirconia Grinding Media is made from sub-nanoscale raw materials using advanced processes. Its technical specifications and performance have reached the international advanced level, and its highly competitive cost-performance ratio will create tangible added value for you. It is mainly used for ultra-fine grinding and dispersion of materials requiring "zero contamination" and high viscosity and hardness, such as ceramics, magnetic materials, alumina, zirconium silicate, titanium dioxide, pharmaceuticals, food, pigments, dyes, inks, and other industries.

Main Performance:
The spheres have good roundness, a smooth surface, and a pearlescent luster. They exhibit excellent toughness and impact resistance, remaining intact during high-speed operation. The extremely low friction coefficient ensures minimal wear on equipment when using TZY zirconia beads. The wear resistance of PZY zirconia beads is 30-50 times that of glass beads and approximately 5 times that of zirconium silicate beads. With a higher density than other ceramic grinding media, PZY zirconia beads achieve a grinding efficiency 6-8 times that of glass beads and 2-3 times that of zirconium silicate beads, enabling increased solid content in materials or higher material flow rates.

Main Technical Specifications:
Chemical Composition: ZrO2 94.6%, Y2O3 5.2±0.2% Density: > 6.0g/cm³ Bulk Density: 3.7-3.9g/cm³ Hardness: HRA > 87, Mohs Hardness Grade 9 Fracture Toughness: 8.0 MPa·m¹/² Crushing Strength: 150 Kgf (2mm)

Usage Performance:
Selected for use after rigorous testing and comparison by a major Japanese electronics manufacturer and a renowned German grinding equipment manufacturer. Already exported to Europe, the Americas, and Southeast Asia. Successfully integrated into corresponding domestic grinding equipment.

PUHLER® PZS-65 Zirconium Silicate Grinding Media has been meticulously developed by our technical team over the years. Produced using the sintering method and incorporating advanced foreign equipment and raw materials, its technical specifications and performance have reached international advanced levels.

Mainly used for grinding and dispersing in industries such as calcium carbonate, kaolin, zircon sand, titanium dioxide, pigments, dyes, inks, and coatings; also applicable for metal surface treatments like shot blasting and polishing.

Main Performance:
The spheres have good roundness, excellent surface gloss, and are densely sintered, without the hollow, irregular shapes, or attached small beads (snowman effect) commonly seen in zirconium silicate beads produced by the fusion method. They exhibit excellent toughness and do not break under high-speed operation. The extremely low friction coefficient minimizes wear on equipment. Their high density enhances grinding efficiency.

Main Technical Specifications:
Chemical Composition: ZrO2: 65%, SiO2: 35% True Density: > 4.0 g/cm³ Bulk Density: 2.5 g/cm³ Hardness: Mohs 7.2 Abrasion Value: Meets international standards**

Usage Performance:
It has been successfully applied to the grinding and dispersion of products such as heavy calcium carbonate, paint, and coatings both domestically and internationally. It has also been successfully exported to countries in Europe, America, and Southeast Asia.
