Working Principle of Jet Mill

An air jet mill operates by cooling, filtering, and drying compressed air, which is then ejected through nozzles to form supersonic air jets that enter the grinding chamber. Under the effect of pressure differential, the material is fluidized. The accelerated particles converge at the intersection point of multiple nozzles, undergoing intense impact, collision, friction, and shear forces to achieve ultra-fine grinding. The finely ground powder is carried upward by the rising airflow to the upper turbo classifier. Under the combined action of the centrifugal force from the classifying wheel and the suction force of the fan, the fine powder meeting the required particle size is discharged and sent to the next stage for further classification or collection. The purified gas is expelled by the induced draft fan.
