The alumina rotary kiln is a critical and core piece of equipment in the sintering process for producing alumina. The performance of its burner, the service life of the lining, the stability of the support system, the stability of the transmission system, the wear and oxidation resistance of the kiln head brick lining at high temperatures, and the stability of the rotary kiln exhaust system are all key factors determining the long-cycle, safe, and efficient operation of the rotary kiln.
There are two types of rotary kilns used in alumina production. One is similar to a sintering kiln, where the material undergoes physical and chemical changes inside the kiln, with complex control and high operating temperatures. This type uses a wet spray gun for feeding and belongs to the wet-process kiln category. The other type is solely for dehydration, removing the attached and crystalline water from aluminum hydroxide at a temperature of 1100°C to produce powdered alumina. This type of kiln has a drying function and is referred to as a calcining kiln. The structures of these two kilns are essentially the same, and their working principles are also identical, allowing for unified research and analysis.
Performance Features
The alumina rotary kiln uses bearing transmission, significantly reducing electricity consumption. Compared with rotary kilns of the same grade, its output increases by 50%, and energy consumption decreases by 30%.
