FLBW Series Fourth-Generation Steady-Flow Progressive Grate Cooler with No Leakage

Product Introduction: The grate cooler is a crucial cooling device in cement production lines. The grate cooler manufactured by our company is a new type of steady-flow, progressive fourth-generation grate cooler. During operation, the grate bed prevents material accumulation in the air chamber, and the wall sealing is highly airtight. Compared to the first-generation horizontal push grate cooler, the second-generation grate cooler, and the third-generation air-beam grate cooler, the fourth-generation steady-flow progressive grate cooler features a thicker material layer on the grate bed, higher productivity per unit area of the grate bed, eliminates the need for leakage air-lock valves and small drag chains, and has a lower failure rate.
I. Structure and Working Principle of Our Company's Fourth-Generation Steady-Flow Grate Cooler

The structure and working principle are as follows: The FLBW series fourth-generation steady-flow, row-by-row, leak-free grate cooler conveys clinker using the principle of longitudinal movement of the grate bed to transport materials. The grate bed is composed of several parallel clinker conveying row units arranged side by side, driven by a hydraulic system. Each row unit moves according to operational requirements, and the movement speed and stroke of each row unit can be adjusted based on process needs. One cycle of the grate bed movement in the grate cooler consists of four steps: Step 1: All rows of hydraulic cylinders simultaneously push the grate bed forward. Step 2: Rows 1 and 3 of the grate bed move backward. Step 3: Rows 2 and 5 of the grate bed move backward. Finally, rows 3 and 6 of the grate bed move backward, after which the next material-pushing cycle begins.
To ensure more uniform air distribution from the grate plates, an automatic adjustable air valve flange is installed beneath each fixed grate plate. Air valves are added at locations where they are truly needed to reduce the phenomenon of blow-through short circuits caused by excessively low local wind resistance.
At the hot end of the grate cooler, i.e., the lower end of the kiln outlet, a set of fixed injection grate beds is installed. The high-temperature clinker falling onto the upper part of the grate beds moves forward continuously through natural accumulation and the impact kinetic energy of the material. At the same time, 2 to 3 fans arranged below the grate beds supply high-pressure airflow into the fixed chamber. This airflow can be directed upward and horizontally through the grate plates toward the material, enabling sufficient heat exchange and rapid cooling of the material. This is beneficial for improving the overall cooling effect, enhancing clinker reactivity, and increasing kiln temperature.
To prevent snowmen from piling up and to remove them more effectively, an air cannon nozzle was installed inside the fixed bed grate plate, connected to the air cannon via internal piping. Practice has proven that this structure is effective.

II. Technical and Structural Features of the FLBW Series Fourth-Generation Steady-Flow Column-Type Grate Cooler:
1) Modular design allows for easy configuration of cooling machines of different scales as needed, with high manufacturing precision, short production cycles, and simple installation.
Easy to maintain.
2) A column-type grate bed is adopted, with each column of grate plates capable of independent speed adjustment, offering good adaptability to the distribution of clinker.
3) The use of automatic flow control valves and more refined zoning of air supply prevents short-circuiting of cooling air and ensures stable gas
Flow distribution.
4) The standard grate plate is covered by a static clinker layer, which protects it from high temperatures and wear, eliminating the need for regular replacement of the grate plate.
5) Special type of leak-free grate plates and non-contact seals ensure no material leakage, eliminating the need for ash hoppers and conveying systems.
The system.
6) The movable grate bed is completely horizontal, and combined with the absence of an ash hopper, the overall height of the machine is significantly reduced, greatly saving on civil construction investment.
7) A special sealing structure between each row of grate plates allows for easy adjustment, installation, and removal of sealing components without the need to empty the static material layer on the grate plates.
Easy to maintain.
