The LD-5D model is a relative concentration meter that uses the light scattering method. By incorporating a sheath air mechanism in the detection unit and a built-in suction pump, it can measure high-concentration dust environments such as those found in hybrid road construction.
The relative concentration needs to be converted into a mass concentration conversion coefficient (K value) based on the filtration collection method and corrected to mass concentration. However, the LD-5D can simply convert the measured value into mass concentration and display it by pre-entering the mass concentration conversion coefficient. Additionally, since it has the same characteristics as existing dust meters (laser light source type), the same mass concentration conversion coefficients used so far can be applied at the same work site.
