Boehmite (AlOOH) is γ-Al2O3As a precursor, it is widely used in fields such as ceramic materials, composite materials, surface protective coating materials, optical materials, catalysts and catalyst support materials, semiconductor materials, and coatings due to its unique chemical, optical, and mechanical properties. Uniform dispersion and stability are crucial for boehmite to fully leverage its superior performance as a nanomaterial. Boehmite prepared via the sol-gel method exhibits small particle size, high specific surface area, and large pore volume. However, agglomeration is severe during post-processing, and although many studies have addressed this issue using surfactants, achieving ideal results remains challenging. Ultrafine oxide powders prepared via hydrothermal synthesis have a narrow particle size distribution and a lower degree of particle agglomeration. By combining the advantages of sol-gel and hydrothermal synthesis, boehmite was prepared using organic aluminum alkoxides. The effects of factors such as temperature, pH value, and time on the structure and properties of boehmite were investigated.
