Device Overview:

ZJThe series of air jet mills specifically designed for pigment materials is developed by our company based on the grinding requirements of pigments, which include narrow particle size distribution, minimal increase in impurities, and good dispersibility. It also takes into account the characteristics of pigment materials, such as high viscosity, poor fluidity, fine particle size, and a tendency to adhere to walls.
This machine can use ordinary compressed air as the crushing medium, or it can use superheated steam as the crushing medium. Crushing under high temperature conditions can improve the dispersion of pigments and enhance their fluidity. It has low energy consumption, only 1/3 to 2/3 of that of compressed air.

Process principle and characteristics:

Structure of the Colorant-Specific Jet Mill: Mainly composed of a crushing chamber, nozzle opening, discharge outlet, airflow outlet, compressed air inlet, etc.

Working Principle: The material is fed quantitatively through a feeding device and transported into the crushing chamber using compressed air (or superheated steam) as the carrier. Upon entering the crushing chamber, the material is driven by a specific supersonic airflow, forming a regular flow pattern. This causes mutual impact and shearing between material particles, as well as collision and friction with the chamber walls, upper cover, and lower cover, achieving the purpose of crushing. During the crushing process, particles of different fineness generate varying centrifugal forces in the rotating airflow. Coarse particles, due to their greater centrifugal force compared to the centripetal airflow force, are thrown to the periphery and continue the crushing process. Particles of the required fineness, driven by the centripetal airflow force, are carried by the exhaust airflow to the discharge outlet. They are then transported through pipelines directly into a collector. After the finished product is collected, the purified air is discharged into the atmosphere.

Performance Features:

1) Suitable for ultra-fine grinding of brittle materials (generally with moisture content less than 5%), the high impact velocity makes it easy to obtain particles of several micrometers.

2) Since the crushing mechanism primarily relies on autogenous grinding through interactions between powder particles, the product is less prone to contamination by other substances, enabling the production of high-purity ultrafine powders.

3) Based on the properties of different materials, corresponding lining materials can be selected (mainly around the crushing chamber and the inlet/outlet pipes) to address issues caused by hard materials (with a Mohs hardness not exceeding 9) and sticky materials during the crushing process.

4The special inlay structure with ultra-hard wear-resistant material lining greatly extends the service life of the jet mill.

5) High product fineness: d90 = 0.3~10 μm, with a narrow particle size distribution and no large particles.

6) High grinding efficiency and low energy consumption, saving 30% energy compared to other types of jet mills.

7The lining inside the crushing chamber is made of ultra-wear-resistant and impact-resistant materials, utilizing a special embedded buffering structure to effectively overcome the issue of the wear-resistant material being prone to cracking, thereby ensuring its service life.
