Tourmaline

Tourmaline is also called tourmaline.Tourmaline first appeared in China in 644 AD when it was obtained by Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty during his western expedition, and it was called "Bixi." The chemical composition of tourmaline is relatively complex; it is a silicate mineral primarily containing boron, along with elements such as aluminum, sodium, iron, magnesium, and lithium. Tourmaline was first discovered in Sri Lanka, where people noticed that this gemstone becomes electrically charged when heated. This phenomenon is known as the pyroelectric effect, which is why it is also called "electric stone."

Tourmaline powderIt is a powder obtained by removing impurities from raw tourmaline ore and then mechanically crushing it. Tourmaline is also known as "Toumaline."

Features:Tourmaline has high negative ion values, high far-infrared emissivity, high fluctuation values, low oxidation-reduction potential, and low radioactive radiation, making it an ideal ecological building material.

Specifications of Tourmaline Powder:1-10cm, with mesh sizes ranging from 100, 325, 800, 1250, 3000, to 6000.

1. Electronics IndustryIn the electronics industry, tourmaline can be used as a wavelength adjuster for radio equipment and as a polarizer in polariscopes. Tourmaline crystals that are well-formed, free from bending, and without cracks can be used as piezoelectric gauges for measuring impact pressure in air and water.

2. Acoustoelectric materials.Tourmaline can be used in sonar components. Typically, tourmaline crystals are utilized, which are colorless or pink gem-grade crystals.

3. Standards for testing materials, instruments, and components in industrial equipmentWhen calibrating piezoelectric fluid pressure gauges and testing instruments, tourmaline is often used as a standard. In boron experiments, tourmaline also serves as a control substance because it is itself an inert boron-containing compound. Tourmaline can also be used as a standard in tests examining the potential effects of water-soluble boron in fertilizers. Many scientific and industrial instruments utilize tourmaline, such as tourmaline tongs, a simple laboratory device that demonstrates the polarization of light. Since tourmaline is both pyroelectric and piezoelectric—meaning it generates electricity when heated or compressed—it is a component of instruments used to measure high pressure and fluid compressibility. The thermal dosimeter, an early instrument for measuring radiation intensity, also relies on the pyroelectric properties of tourmaline.

4. Electromagnetic Wave ProtectorA method for manufacturing a harmful electromagnetic radiation protector, which consists of a layered structure. The first layer is a tourmaline particle layer; the second layer is an adhesive layer; the third layer is a plastic film layer; the fourth layer is also an adhesive layer; and the fifth layer is a paper layer. This protector can prevent harmful electromagnetic waves from invading and convert them into far-infrared rays. It can be used in places such as car cabins, computer operation rooms, arc operation workshops, substations, as well as on various electrical devices including gaming consoles, televisions, microwave ovens, electric blankets, telephones, and mobile phones.

5. Tourmaline ceramic balls. It is made by grinding tourmaline into microparticles with diameters ranging from 26μm to 140μm, accounting for 3% to 98% of the total weight; clay accounts for 97% to 2% of the total weight. After mixing with water, the mixture is shaped, dried, and sintered into small spheres with diameters ranging from 0.5mm to 50mm. It can activate drinking water or increase the concentration of negative ions in the air, and can be used in various fields such as drinking water activation, wastewater treatment, crop spraying, and air purification.
