Product Performance:

Mullite is also an aluminosilicate ceramic material composed of Al₂O₃ and SiO₂, but its composition is not fixed, with an alumina content ranging from 72% to 78%, corresponding to the molecular formula 3Al₂O₃•2SiO₂ or 2Al₂O₃•SiO₂. Its melting point is between 1810°C and 1830°C, and its thermal expansion coefficient is 4.5 × 10⁻⁶ K⁻¹ (20°C to 1300°C).

Product Applications:

Mullite coatings exhibit excellent corrosion resistance. They are also suitable for preparing wear-resistant coatings and insulating coatings for acidic media. These coatings can be fabricated using processes such as air-stabilized plasma spraying, flame spraying, and detonation spraying. They are applicable in industries such as refractory materials, ceramics, metallurgy, casting, and electronics, featuring high-temperature resistance, high strength, low thermal conductivity, and significant energy-saving effects. They are suitable for use as linings in petroleum cracking furnaces, metallurgical hot-blast stoves, ceramic roller kilns, tunnel kilns, electric porcelain shuttle kilns, glass crucible kilns, and various electric furnaces.
