Air passes through filters and heaters and enters the air distributor at the top of the dryer, where the hot air spirals evenly into the dryer. The feed liquid is sent from the feed tank through a filter by a pump to the centrifugal atomizer at the top of the dryer, where it is atomized into extremely fine droplets. The feed liquid and hot air flow in a concurrent direction, causing the moisture to evaporate rapidly and dry into a finished product within a very short time. The finished product is discharged from the bottom of the drying tower and the cyclone separator, while the exhaust gas is expelled by a fan.
