MAX phase materials are naturally layered carbon-nitride inorganic non-metallic materials composed of three elements. They possess the electrical and thermal conductivity of metals, as well as the high strength, high-temperature resistance, and corrosion resistance of structural ceramics, enabling them to perform under harsh conditions.
