Product Performance
Fine hexagonal crystals ranging from light green to dark green. Turns brown when heated, reverting to green upon cooling. The crystals are extremely hard. Highly stable, showing no change even when exposed to hydrogen gas at red heat. Soluble in heated potassium bromate solution, slightly soluble in acids and alkalis, and almost insoluble in water, ethanol, and acetone.
Application Direction
Primarily used in the tapping holes and slide gate openings of special steel smelting, as well as in large incinerators. It can be used for coloring ceramics and enamel, rubber coloring, formulating high-temperature resistant coatings, and artistic pigments. It is also used to prepare inks for printing banknotes and securities. The color of chromium oxide green is similar to plant chlorophyll, making it suitable for camouflage paint, which makes it difficult to distinguish under infrared photography. It is also widely used in metallurgy, for manufacturing refractory materials, and as abrasive powder. Additionally, it can serve as a catalyst for organic synthesis and is a high-grade green pigment.
Storage Conditions
This product should be stored in a sealed, dry, and cool environment. It should not be exposed to air for prolonged periods to prevent moisture absorption and agglomeration, which may affect its dispersion performance and effectiveness. Additionally, avoid heavy pressure and transport as ordinary cargo.
