NatureWhite semi-transparent blocky or small cylindrical pieces, density 1.035 g/cm³.3Soluble in ethanol, isopropanol, benzene, toluene, chloroform, and carbon tetrachloride. Easily absorbs moisture and decomposes into aluminum hydroxide and isopropanol upon contact with water.
UsageHormonal pharmaceutical intermediates such as isophytol, testosterone, 17α-hydroxyprogesterone caproate, progesterone, androstenedione, and ethisterone; one of the raw materials for aluminum coupling agents used in rubber and plastic processing; a raw material for the ink thickener—fatty acid aluminum oxacyclohexane compound AOC18; also used as an active catalyst and carrier, inorganic membrane, and suitable as a reducing agent, dehydrating agent, and waterproofing agent.
