The small oscillating granulator is mainly composed of a feeding hopper, rollers, a screen mesh, and a mechanical transmission system. During operation, the mechanical transmission system drives the drum to rotate. The drum is equipped with seven "blades" with trapezoidal cross-sections, and beneath the drum, a screen mesh is tightly secured by a pipe clamp with wheels. Clumped materials are fed through the feeding hopper. As the drum rotates in both forward and reverse directions, the scraping tools exert extrusion and shearing forces on the wet materials, forcing them through the screen mesh to form granules.
When operating the oscillating granulator, the amount of material added and the tightness of the screen position directly affect the quality of the granules produced. If a large amount of material is added to the hopper and the screen is relatively loose, the rotation of the drum increases the number of times the wet mass passes through the screen, resulting in harder granules.
The granules produced by the small oscillating granulator generally have a uniform particle size distribution, which facilitates the even drying of wet granules. Its main feature is that the rotation speed of the rotating drum can be adjusted, the screen is easy to install and remove, and its tightness can be appropriately adjusted. The mechanical transmission system is fully sealed within the machine body and is equipped with an adjustment system, which improves the lifespan of the components. However, since the granulation process involves the drum directly pressing the screen to form granules, both the compressive force and friction exerted by the material on the screen are relatively high. When using metal screens, metal contamination of the formulation can easily occur, while nylon screens, due to their tendency to wear out, require frequent replacement. Attention should be paid to this during use.
