Auto-lock functionAfter the measurement is complete, the rotating shaft can be automatically locked to protect the pivot and prevent bearing damage, ensuring safe use even for beginners.
Zero point and range settingDuring calibration, compensation is made for differences between instruments, resulting in actual usage accuracy higher than the accuracy stated on the sample.
Preheating and Auto-Stop FunctionEquipped with a preheating function, it can be used as an automatic start function, and can also be set to operate and stop the viscometer at any desired time.
Data InteroperabilityThe data measured by the RE-85 viscometer can be interchanged with data from other models of single-cylinder and cone-plate viscometers manufactured by our company, and it complies with JIS and ISO standards.
Power lock functionDuring operation, even if the power switch is turned off, the power will not be cut off until the bearing locking is completed.
Slow acceleration and slow deceleration during rotationWhen starting, changing speed, or stopping, smoothly adjust the rotation speed to avoid sudden impact on the viscometer.
Alarm Display FunctionWhen the measured data is below 10% or exceeds 100%, an alarm indicator will be displayed and an alarm sound will be emitted.
Data recording functionBuilt-in calendar function allows recording of measurement data, and can print information such as dates and viscometer model using a dedicated printer.

Working PrincipleThe rotation of the motor is transmitted to the rotor via a spiral spring. As the rotor rotates in the test liquid, it is subjected to viscous torque. The deflection angle of the spiral spring is proportional to the magnitude of the viscous torque. This deflection angle is read by an optical sensor and converted into a viscosity reading.
