Working Principle and Structural Features
After the wet material exits the centrifuge, it directly enters the vacuum paddle dryer, where it moves forward at a uniform speed under the action of the stirring blades. Steam is introduced into the jacket of the main machine for heating. Heat is transferred from the inner wall of the main machine to the material inside the chamber. After absorbing the heat, the wet material rapidly undergoes heat and mass exchange, causing the solvent to evaporate quickly and be extracted through the vacuum pipe at the top. The heat transferred from the jacket is primarily used for:
1. Solvent evaporation
2. Material Heating
3. Equipment Heat Loss
The transmission main shaft runs through the entire working chamber. Rake arms are welded onto the main shaft, with material-lifting plates at the ends of the rake arms, and these material-lifting plates are set at a certain angle.
Both ends of the box body are sealed with packing, which is made of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene, ensuring excellent sealing performance.
The bearing housing is suspended on the end cover plate, and the bearing uses a double-row spherical roller bearing.
The lower casing of the main unit is designed as a U-shape with a heating jacket, while the upper cover is designed as a semi-circle to reduce heat loss and prevent condensation. Both the upper and lower casings are additionally equipped with aluminum silicate insulation material on the exterior.
The vacuum port of the upper box is equipped with a filter bag, and a cleaning cylinder is installed at the top to promptly remove fine powder adhering to the bag. Additionally, each upper box is designed with three sight glasses and a quick-opening observation door to allow timely monitoring of the drying condition inside the chamber.
Due to the high final moisture content and prolonged drying time, three dryers are connected in series. To ensure negative pressure and vacuum level inside the chambers as much as possible, four pneumatic vacuum butterfly valves are installed at the feed inlet of the **first unit** and the discharge outlet of the third unit, with two intermediate buffer hoppers added in between. Continuous discharge rotary valves are used at the discharge outlets of the **first unit** and the second unit. To maintain the material flow rate inside the chambers, the rotary valves are controlled by variable frequency drives.
The drive motors all use variable frequency speed regulation, which can effectively adjust the drying time.
The temperature inside the drying oven is digitally displayed by the XMT instrument.
The vacuum pipes of three vacuum drying ovens are connected in series, and the solvent is recovered through the condenser and buffer tank.
All three drying main units have saddle-type supports on their lower boxes. During installation, the user should prepare a steel frame platform. The saddle-type supports can be directly fixed onto the steel platform.
