Low-temperature Vacuum Belt Dryer for Traditional Chinese Medicine Formula Granules
The GDZ system low-temperature vacuum belt dryer is suitable for drying the vast majority of natural product extracts, especially materials with high viscosity, a tendency to clump, thermoplasticity, or thermal sensitivity, as well as those unsuitable or unable to be dried using spray drying. Throughout the drying process, it operates in a vacuum, enclosed environment with gentle drying conditions (20–80°C), allowing natural extracts to retain their color, aroma, and flavor to the greatest extent. Working principle: The low-temperature vacuum belt dryer is a contact-type equipment with continuous feeding and discharging. The liquid material to be dried is directly fed into the highly vacuum (900–4,000 Pa) interior of the dryer through a conveying mechanism. The wet material is evenly spread onto several drying belts inside the dryer through uniform distribution.
A vacuum belt dryer is a contact-type vacuum drying equipment that operates with continuous feeding and discharging. The liquid material to be dried is directly introduced into the highly vacuumed interior of the dryer through a conveying mechanism and spread onto several drying belts inside the dryer. Driven by a motor, specially designed rubber rollers move the drying belts at a set speed along the direction of the dryer drum. Beneath each drying belt, there are three independent heating plates and one cooling plate. The drying belts are in close contact with the heating and cooling plates, transferring the energy required for drying to the material through contact heat transfer. When the drying belt moves from one end of the drum to the other, the material has already been dried and cooled. As the drying belt returns, the dried material cake is peeled off from the belt and falls into a crushing device via a vertically moving cutting mechanism. The crushed material is then discharged through two airlock-type discharge hoppers. Since the material directly enters a high-vacuum environment and undergoes gradual drying over a period (typically 30–60 minutes), the resulting particles exhibit a certain degree of crystallization and, from a microscopic perspective, contain internal micropores. After being directly crushed to the required particle size, the particles demonstrate excellent flowability and can be directly used for tablet pressing or capsule filling. Additionally, due to their micro-porous structure, the particles have outstanding instant solubility. Moreover, the particles have an appealing appearance, which can significantly enhance the product quality for instant (granule) products. The belt vacuum dryer continuously feeds and discharges material at both ends of the machine body.
