The disc vacuum dryer is a vertical drying device featuring multiple fixed discs and rotating rake agitators. Its structure consists of metal discs arranged alternately from top to bottom, each disc being composed of two metal plates forming a hollow disc. The heating medium includes steam, thermal oil, and hot water. Steam, thermal oil, or hot water is introduced into the discs, transferring heat to the material on the discs through the metal walls via conduction. The material to be dried enters the dryer from the upper feed port and lands on the first small heating disc. Under the action of the rake blades, the material moves from the inner side of the small disc outward and falls from the outer periphery onto the next larger disc below. Due to the inward angle of the rake teeth on the larger disc, the material is pushed toward the inner side of the disc as the rake teeth rotate. The material repeatedly moves downward in this manner while being dried. The evaporated moisture is removed by a moisture exhaust fan. The heat transfer area of the dryer can be ensured by adjusting the number of discs, while the required residence time of the material in the dryer can be achieved by adjusting the rotational speed of the main shaft—that is, by using the rake teeth to regulate the material's movement speed. This results in a qualified dried product at the bottom.
