LG-40 Dry Granulator for Stomach-Nourishing Capsules

Using the pressing wheel speed, cake thickness, and mass fraction of starch in the total powder (%) as influencing factors, and the angle of repose as the evaluation index, the dry granulation process conditions were optimized through an orthogonal experimental method. The results showed that the optimal granulation conditions were a cake thickness of 0.6 mm, a starch mass fraction of 4.0% in the total powder, and a pressing wheel speed of 3 r/min. Validation experiments demonstrated that the angle of repose of the granules prepared by this method met the requirements for capsule filling, the moisture absorption rate reached equilibrium after 48 hours, and the quality of the prepared capsules complied with the specifications outlined in the pharmacopoeia for capsules.


This device integrates extrusion, crushing, and granulation into one unit, utilizing new roller compaction control technology. By adjusting the physical property fluctuations of different materials and different batches of the same material, the process parameters of dry granulation can be precisely and repeatedly adjusted, thereby producing high-quality granules while improving their stability, disintegration, and dissolution properties.

Compared to traditional wet granulation, this equipment can directly process powder raw materials into granular products without the need for any intermediates or additives. The resulting granules have uniform particle size and significantly increased bulk density. This not only controls contamination and reduces floor space but also lowers power consumption.

This equipment can be used for granulation in industries such as pharmaceuticals, food, and chemicals. It is particularly suitable for materials that are prone to decomposition, failure, or caking when exposed to moisture or heat, as well as for materials that cannot be processed using wet mixing granulation or one-step fluidized bed granulation.
