Product Introduction

Light calcium carbonate (precipitated calcium carbonate, referred to as light calcium) is produced by calcining raw materials such as limestone to generate lime (mainly composed of calcium oxide) and carbon dioxide. The lime is then slaked with water to form lime milk (mainly composed of calcium hydroxide), after which carbon dioxide is introduced to carbonate the lime milk, resulting in calcium carbonate precipitation. Finally, it is obtained through dehydration, drying, and grinding. Alternatively, a double decomposition reaction between sodium carbonate and calcium oxide can be used to generate calcium carbonate precipitation, which is then obtained through dehydration, drying, and grinding. Because the sedimentation volume of light calcium carbonate (2.4-2.8 mL/g) is larger than that of heavy calcium carbonate (1.1-1.9 mL/g), it is referred to as light calcium carbonate.
